Dr. Stephen Burrell

Senior Pastor

Steve has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Grace Theological Seminary. He brings a love and passion for teaching the Bible. Steve's philosophy of preaching comes from Nehemiah 8:8, "They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading."

Steve and his wife of 28 years, Michelle, have two daughters, Kaitlyn and Stephanie. Burrells love the outdoors, movies, family time, hanging out, and going out for dinner. 

Jonathan DiMego

Student Pastor

Jonathan grew up in Round Rock, Texas and moved to Nacogdoches where he graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in History, as well as, a Master of Biblical Studies at Moody Bible Institute. Jonathan is passionate about student ministry and seeing the next generation walk in relationship with Jesus and live on mission for the kingdom of God. 


His favorite verse is Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

In his free time, Jonathan loves the outdoors (fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, climbing), watching sports, drinking a good cup of coffee, and reading. Most of all, he is looking forward to marrying his best friend Caitlin Smith in 2023. 

Erica Cox

Children's Pastor

Erica is originally from Kansas and graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.  She felt the call out of the business world and has held various positions within the church. The one she loves the most is the children’s ministry. Connecting with children and watching them develop a love of the Bible and a relationship with the Lord is life-affirming. Erica’s long time favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

Erica is married to her husband, Sam, and they have three children, Reynolds, Anderson, and Brielle. In Erica’s free time she enjoys long distance running, reading, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and a good cup of tea.

Brian Feltmann

Worship Pastor

Brian grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Bethel University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. One of his favorite things about ministry is growing along side one another in the pursuit to know Christ more. His favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:1, "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand."

Brian is married to his wife, Jen, and together, they have 4 children. Bentely, Aurora, Daphne, and Leo. Their family loves game nights, cheering for the Vikings, camping, and anything outdoors. In his free time, Brian loves playing basketball, gardening, and taking in live concerts.

Amy Mitcham

Preschool Director

Amy is a graduate of Sam Houston State and laughingly says her Criminal Justice degree comes in handy while working with children. She loves early childhood education and watching the seeds of faith be nurtured and planted in the youngest of hearts. She and her husband Chris have two children: Becca and John. Her family has lived in the Magnolia area for over twenty years. In her free time she and her family enjoy movies, game nights, lots of tacos and watching football.

Her favorite verses change often but she loves Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Cindy Vest

Next Steps Director

Cindy has been married for almost 40 years to Kevin Vest, 20 of those years have been in the Marine Corps and traveling all over the world. She has two adult children and six beautiful grandchildren. Cindy and her husband have been members at Magnolia Bible Church for approximately 14 years. As the Next-Steps Director, Cindy loves developing strategies to effectively connect guest to various ministries.


One of Cindy's favorite verses is from Philippians 1:6. It reads, "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Joey McGrew

Worship & Media Assistant

Joey started attending Magnolia Bible Church in 2017 and currently sings on the worship team Sunday mornings. He enjoys singing, songwriting, and photography. Joey's future goals includes being a Worship Pastor.

Joey's favorite verses are Matthew 6:31-34. "So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you 


need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Chris Grohman

Operations Director

Chris and his family moved to the Magnolia area at the beginning of 2022. He and his wife, Wendy, have two children, Michael and Violet. Chris is involved in Trail Life, enjoys camping, fishing, and floating Texas rivers. He left his banking operations career in 2020 and began his journey in ministry as Operations Director of Magnolia Bible Church in 2022.

Chris' favorite passage from the Bible is Romans 3:3-5, "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

Lacie Carroll

Communications Director

Lacie and her husband, Chad, have been members of Magnolia Bible Church for four years. She loves all things art, coffee, dogs, and Jesus.


Lacie's favorite verse is Genesis 1:27, " So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." This verse is her favorite because it describe how everyone is of God in all His beauty!

Donnie Bowen III

CMG Manager

Donnie Bowen III is married to Michele Bowen and blessed dad to Donnie IV and Maeleigh. He brings experience as both an Army Veteran and Oil & Gas operations leader to his current role as MBC’s CMG Manager, focused on ensuring a welcoming campus to equip Saints for the mission field. His prayer for MBC is that the Holy Spirit richly indwells every Believer to love God more each day, teach and guide us in all things, and embolden the Saints to share the Gospel in our community.

Donnie encourages everyone to meditate on his favorite Scripture passage, Habakkuk 3.
